The apartment sleeps up to four adults and is furnished for comfort, inspired by nature and mountain living. You also have your own parking space (no. 78) right in front of the building, a shared lockable room for bikes and skis, and our private cellar storage unit (no. 28). The building has a lift.
There are two bedrooms with box-spring double beds, a bathroom with shower and toilet, and a fully equipped kitchen with a Nespresso capsule machine, all opening onto the living room with a dining table, a sofa and a Fatboy bean bag. The apartment has private Wi-Fi (network B34), a flat-screen TV, a wireless speaker and a small library. Bed linen, towels and toiletries are provided.

Hojsova Stráž – Brčálník has its own railway station right below the house, so trips near and far are easy in summer and winter alike. Right in the village is the Brčálník ski area – great for beginners and for sledging. The Špičák ski & bike centre is close by, as is the hugely popular German resort of Großer Arber.
Devil's Lake (Čertovo jezero)
Surrounded by legends, this glacial lake lies on the south-eastern slope of Jezerní hora near Železná Ruda. It is the only Šumava lake that drains into the Danube. Its surface lies at 1,030 m and it is up to 36 m deep.
Pancíř
The summit (1,214 m) offers one of the finest views in Šumava. The landmark of the Železná Ruda area – Germany's Großer Arber with its transmitter and mountain hut – lies before you, and on clear days you can see all the way to the Alps.
Großer Arber (Velký Javor)
At 1,456 m it is the highest peak of the range on the Bohemian–Bavarian border, which is why it is called the “King of the Bavarian Forest”.
St Kunigunde's Chapel
Prenet is known for its far-reaching views. On its slope stands St Kunigunde's Chapel, the only surviving building of a former hamlet. It was built in 1408 by Bohuslav Racek of Janovice, and a hermit once lived beside it.
Nýrsko Reservoir
Built in 1969 by flooding the Úhlava valley, it supplies drinking water to Klatovy, the Domažlice area and Plzeň. It is fed by several streams, mainly the Úhlava, Svinský and Zelenský brooks.
Lake Laka
The smallest and highest lake (1,096 m) in the Czech part of Šumava was closed to the public for a long time – all the more reason to visit this beautiful glacial lake.
Black Lake (Černé jezero)
The largest natural lake in Šumava and in the Czech Republic (18.4 ha) is of glacial origin and also the deepest, at up to 40.6 m.
Špičák ski & bike centre
The chairlift takes you from the Špičák sports area to the summit of Špičák (1,202 m). It carries walkers, cyclists, paragliders and visitors with disabilities; bikes and pushchairs travel free. In winter it carries only downhill and cross-country skiers.
