Boubin forest

Kvilda Church of St. Stephen
The main landmark of the village Kvilda is the church of St. Stephen. In 1765, the Prague Archbishop's Consistory complied with the request of the Quild believers and gave permission for the construction of the church, including the cemetery. The wooden church, the walls of which were covered with shingles, was dedicated to the memory of Finding the Body of St. Stephen.
Kasperk Castle
The unmistakable two-tower silhouette of Kašperk Castle is a distinctive feature of the central part of Šumava, visible from a great distance. The castle stands on top of a high rocky hill (886 m) and is one of the highest castles in the Czech Republic. The castle was originally called Karlsberg. The castle was built to protect the land borders with Bavaria, the gold mines and the newly established Kasperskohorská branch of the Golden Trail.
